Dishonored is the popular action game that hardly needs any introduction, as it’s a well-known name for any true gamer.

The announcement of the upcoming release of Dishonored 2 created quite a hype, being one of the most important happenings of E3 2015, and not only because the announcement trailer is awesome, but also because the first Dishonored game left quite an impact on its players.

For those of you who don’t know yet, Dishonored is a first-person action game created by the highly-acclaimed Arkane Studios development team and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2012. It quickly became one of the most positively reviewed games of that year, quickly earning universal appraisal. There are many reasons while this game was so appreciated, and since it’s also one of my favorite games of the latest years, I find it easy to notice these reasons. First of all, the original, immersive storyline leaves no room for criticism. Dishonored is set in the imaginary city of Dunwall and follows the story of Corvo Attano, the royal bodyguard. In fact, you play as Corvo and try to make the best use of your skills in order to get revenge on those who framed you for the murder of the Empress. Anyway, as you’ll see if you play it till its end, the story is much more intricate than it seems. Another reason why this game is so awesome is that you are free to choose between going gung-ho and killing everything you encounter in order to try and accomplish your missions and embracing a stealthy approach and eliminate only key targets. Last but not least, this game also gets a lot of praise for the visuals. Not only they’re top-notch graphics, but their steampunk vibe makes the game even more appealing for many players, including me.

Many pages could be written about this game without managing to properly depict how good it is. It’s an undeniable top-of-the list game, with production values of the highest standards. Just think of the actors that provided the voices for the characters: Lena Hadley (Cersei of Game of Thrones), Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Madsen, Susan Sarandon, and others. As you can see, Dishonored is not your ordinary, easy-to-forget game. Moreover, since it’s now 3-years old already, you can also get on really attractive prices and numerous discounts, and I totally recommend you to do so.
